Site surroundings:

The station is located at Beijing meteorological observation station in the west part of Beijing and it is up to the standard of meteorological observation. Now, there are a few ostructions in surroundings and they affect mainly the measurement of zenith luminance.

Climate characteristics:

In recent years, the change of Beijing's climate is very large. Annual sunshine duration is higher. When outside critical illuminance is 5000 lx, available time of daylight is about 3900 hours.
