Kiyose-shi is located 25 km west of Tokyo. The city has a population of 60,000. Within a 5 km radius of the station, 40% of the land is housing, 30% is farmland, and 30% is other uses. 1 km from the measurement site, an expressway runs north towards Niigata.

Comments

Measurements have been carried out since 1982. During this time the sensors have been serviced three times by the suppliers. The shadow bands are adjusted every two weeks by a company specialized in building maintenance.
