| Site surroundings: Lisbon is on the right bank of the Tagus river, not far from the sea. The station lies in the North part of the town. The environment is 100% urban. Polluting industries are 13 kms away on the left bank of the Tagus, they should not have a meaningful influence on the measurements. | Climate characteristics: Climate is mediterranean with mild winters and hot summers. Average temperature in January is 10.8°C and in July 22.2°C. The annual sunshine duration is about 3000 hours. The closest weather station is located only 1 km away at the Portela airport. | |

| Comments Vertical sensors are screened from reflected light coming from the ground. An horizontal matt black surface surrounds the sensors and a ring forms an artificial horizon. The top border of the ring is at the same level as the center of the sensors. |
