Site surroundings:

Kent Ridge Campus National University site is located on the West part of Singapore in a green suburban environment. The West and the South sides of the site face the sea, while the East side sees the low Kent Ridge hill and the North side faces the industrial estates.

Climate characteristics:

The climate of Singapore is of maritime tropical type. The average temperatures are 25,5°C and 26,8°C in January and July respectively. The maximum temperature is found to be 31,6°C in April. This view looks towards North-East direction. It shows the global and diffuse illuminance measuring sensors. The ground reflection eliminating construction is seen on the far for vertical sensors. This one is not used currently.

This view looks to the East. The solar radiation measuring sensors for the four vertical orientations are seen in the foreground in the ground reflection eliminating construction. The obstruction offered by the hill and white coloured buildings can be seen at the far distance.
