Obstruction for the global
horizontal illuminance sensor

Comments

The sensors for diffuse illuminance and irradiance are shaded with suntracking shading disks.
To withstand the Scandinavian winter climate, the Licor photometers are mounted in a thermostatically controlled measuring head which can house up to five sensors. Each sensor is covered by a glass dome. The measuring head which is made of anodized aluminium has built-in heating elements and a fan which provides air circulation under the glass domes. In order to control the temperature of each photometer, each one is equipped with a small temperature sensor. These temperatures are measured continuously.
