Obstruction for the global
|
| Comments The sensors for diffuse illuminance and irradiance are shaded with suntracking disks. Due to the severe winter conditions, the Licor photometers are mounted behind glass domes in temperature regulated instrument cases, each one taking up to five sensors. For direct normal measurements and zenith luminance measurements, the glass dome is replaced by a tube supplied with a glass window in the front. The photometric sensors were calibrated in June, 1993, at the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute, against a CIE standard lamp A and these new responsivity values were applied. On an average the difference between the new responsivities and the manufacturer's was 0.25%. |
| View 1 of the station
| Comments This view of the station is looking toward ESE. The diffuse illuminance sensor can be seen to the left. On the floor in the center is the suntracker with the shading disk. In the rear left corner is the global irradiance sensor, and to the right is the Brewer Ozone Spectrophotometer mounted on an azimuth suntracker. |
| View 2 of the station
| Comments To the left is a suntracker carrying the direct illuminance sensor. To the right is another suntracker carrying the direct irradiance sensor. In the right corner of the platform, on top of a mast, are the four vertical irradiance sensors behind a large cylindrical screen. On top of this are the horizontal and the four vertical illuminance sensors. |
